William Blake (1757–1827)'Did he who made the Lamb make thee?' ಎಂದು ಬರೆದ(Tyger! Tyger! burning bright...ನೆನಪಾಯಿತೇ...?) ಬ್ಲೇಕ್ ನ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ಪದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಶಾಲಾದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲೋ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲೋ ಓದದವರು ವಿರಳ.

ಅದೇ Songs of Experience ಬಾಹ್ಯ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಅನುಭವದ ಕ್ರೂರತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ The Chimney Sweeper,Ah Sun-flower,A poison Tree ಇವು ಈ ಸಂಕಲನದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪದ್ಯಗಳು visionary mystic ಎಂದೇ ಹೆಸರಾದ ವಿಲಿಯಮ್ ಬ್ಲೇಕ್ ನ ಪದ್ಯಗಳು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಓದಲು ಸರಳವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡರೂ ಗೂಢಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತವೆ (ಇವುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ)
